"Once we almost got kicked out of the house because my dad did not have enough money in his CPF. He had to pay directly to the bank and the amount of money the bank charged him was the same amount of what he earned every month. It was definitely hard for him to cope. My parents didn't really tell us because they didn't want to bother us. At that point of time, I was already working part-time and schooling at the same time and it was one of the toughest parts knowing that I was going to lose my home and not have anywhere to stay.

And that is the reason I feel like I’m blessed because they don't make financial problems a big deal even though it is a big deal."
