Advice for High School Theatre Students | Katherine Steele

WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

Hi guys! What's up, it's me, Katherine, and I, apparently, enjoy using commas, a lot. You know where I discovered my love of commas? In AP ENGLISH! That's right, we're headed back to school today with tips for high school theatre actors! These tips totally apply if you're not in high school yet or if you've already graduated. Just slightly adjust the high school advice to fit your current lifestyle! Today, we'll be talking about the most valuable things I learned as a high school theatre student + what I wish I had done differently.

Personally, I chose to get really involved in my high school's theatre department: I did a ton of shows, I was on the improv team for 4 years, I was a TA for the freshmen theatre class, I was Drama Club secretary junior year & promoted to president for senior year. I mention this in the video, but I really wanted to mention it again. High school is what you make it. If you want to make friends & have a good time, you need to put some effort into it.
