CONTENT DISCLAIMERS:
- All content is based on v.1.92 and is subject to change based on future patch notes
- I know it is a bit confusing to call the inner section of a cave "indoors", but I just do that because only in this section of the cave can you cure things ("interior" vs. "exterior" is perhaps better). Where you place the campfire is irrelevant: it all counts as "outdoors" - and both sections are "outdoors" in terms of cabin fever. It is possible that placing the fire on the outdoor section of the cave will cause the fire to last longer if the weather is very cold, but this has not been definitively tested yet. When I tested it during a clear night, there was no difference.
- The crampons only reduce stamina loss: fatigue loss remains the same
- The complete sleep multiplier list can be found here:
https://thelongdark.fandom.com/wiki/Sleep

Please note that I have not tested the precise % gain nor whether different bed types play a role, as the page claims. However, it seems correct based on my experience of surviving 700 days so far. I also showed the video to a few veteran TLD players before release, who agreed that this is correct.
- The "SharDul" player I refer to in the flare gun section is the person I watched the most when learning the game, and he has certain tricks or rules he followed. One of them was to crouch just before firing the flare gun. This doesn't matter, it's just one way of doing it. You can find SharDul here: https://www.twitch.tv/shardulgaming

- Rabbits also do not "bleed out", but I mean... they are rabbits!
- That wolves are quiet when coming behind you at night is not extensively tested, but I have personally only experienced this at night, so I thought it was a warning worth mentioning. Some have claimed that aurora wolves also do more damage than regular wolves, but this is not supported by available data. Streamers give conflicting opinions on this, but nothing definitive is available to conclude this. However, the community agrees that aurora wolves are more persistent in hunting you down and less afraid. Even if they did do more damage, it doesn't matter: just avoid them.
EDITING DISCLAIMERS:
When making tip videos, especially, I want to be completely honest so there are no misunderstandings. Therefore, here are some notes regarding certain clips:
- The footage of sleeping at Lake Overlook cave is a composite of two different runs, because when I reached the cave with my cabin fever character I realized I had forgotten the bedroll somewhere. So I went there with a second character to sleep and combined the footage to make it more visually easy to follow - this doesn't affect anything: your cabin fever is cured after 24 hours and being outdoors.
- The footage of hunting the deer is from two different occasions. The first clip is from Pleasant Valley, but was used as it was the most visually clean shot (and I passed time outdoors, which was not ideal as it means death on interloper). The follow-up of passing time is from the Ravine. This is purely for illustrative purposes and does not affect the content: remember to check your journal before passing time and see how many kills you have. Go somewhere safe and pass two hours (sometimes one hour is fine, but in my experience this is unreliable). If the kill counter has gone up, the animal is dead somewhere - note that if you passed time indoors, you might have to go outside for a couple minutes before the kill counter goes up.
- As far as I know, the clip of kimiota killing the moose is a one-shot, but the full broadcast is not available so its possible the moose was already hurt. If so, this doesn't change anything: A moose can be killed with one hit. kimiota recently dedicated entire streams towards testing this. You can see him do it e.g. here: https://www.twitch.tv/kimiota/clip/TriangularMistyFungusCoolStoryBob
