Cancel Culture was intended to create consequences for those immune to repercussions. However, it's evolved into a totalitarian trend used to bully the "wrong ideas" into submission.

While many claim Cancel Culture is an effective tool to hold others accountable for egregious acts, oftentimes those targeted are never given an opportunity to defend themselves, because Cancel Culture operates on public opinion, rather than a fair trial. 

#CancelTheCulture was created to give those who are targeted an opportunity to tell their story, in the hopes to educate the public on the repercussions that come with online "accountability".
