Pharmacodynamics is the study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs on the body, often described as “what the drug does to the body.” This pharmacology lecture covers topics such as ligand-gated ion channels, G protein-coupled receptors, enzyme-linked receptors, intracellular receptors, agonists, antagonists (full, partial, inverse, competitive, non-competitive), and therapeutic index.
