In our Bhutan Tour 2026, we explored Thimphu, Punakha & Paro with updated travel guidelines for Indians and a special visit to the iconic Fertility Temple & Tiger’s Nest.

🗓 Day 1 – Phuentsholing to Thimphu

Thimphu to Punakha via Dochu La Pass

• Walk on Punakha Suspension Bridge
• Visit the famous Fertility Temple – Chimi Lhakhang

Why is it called the Penis Temple?
Chimi Lhakhang is associated with Lama Drukpa Kunley (The Divine Madman). Couples visit here to seek blessings for fertility, marriage & happiness. Wooden phallus symbols painted across houses are believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck.
