सोशल अड्डा के इस एपिसोड में जानें मुंबई की BEST बसों के बढ़े हुए किराये के बारे में. बीएमसी ने किराया वृद्धि को मंजूरी दे दी है, जिसके बाद गैर-एसी बसों का न्यूनतम किराया ₹5 से बढ़कर ₹10 और अधिकतम ₹20 से ₹35 हो गया है. वहीं, एसी बसों का न्यूनतम किराया ₹6 से ₹12 और अधिकतम ₹25 से ₹40 कर दिया गया है. बेस्ट अधिकारियों के अनुसार, खराब आर्थिक स्थिति के कारण यह बढ़ोतरी जरूरी थी, क्योंकि पिछले एक दशक में ₹11,000 करोड़ की सब्सिडी के बावजूद बेस्ट घाटे में है. इस फैसले का असर रोजाना यात्रा करने वाले 31 लाख लोगों पर पड़ेगा, जिनकी जेब पर सीधा बोझ बढ़ेगा.
