Should you buy a Nikon FE? In my first camera review video, I'll try to answer that question for you, and take you through many of the features of this classic Nikon SLR.
I think the Nikon FE is a great SLR, since it’s affordable and works with a wide variety of F-mount lenses. (However, keep in mind that your modern Nikon DSLR lenses generally won't work with this camera. The Nikon FE has no electronic interface between the camera and lens, which modern lenses rely on.) The FE has the most essential features that you'll need, but it won't bog you down with complexity or added weight. If you're looking to get into film photography, this camera can help you do it on a budget.
I've owned two Nikon FEs over the years, and I've been using them since 2012. Although I'd prefer a Nikon F3, I don't use it often enough to justify paying the extra cost, and the FE gets the job done, even if it's not as luxurious as the F3.
