How to Predict when Starship will Launch | NSF Explains
With the power of spreadsheets and diligent tank watching, accurately predicting when Starship will launch (or static fire) is now possible! One of our beloved members, Adrian (@BCCarCounters), has observed venting patterns from various tank farm and Starship components from nearly every static fire and launch. With that data he has been able to predict launch time down to the second.
It should be noted that the skirt vent is by far the hardest to spot. It should only be used to verify that the countdown in still progressing. Also recently we have noticed some slight timing changes with the engine chilldown vents, or tri-vents, though the current prediction method is still very accurate.
