Horrific End of Franz Ziereis Nazi Mauthausen Gusen Camp Commandant Hanged on Fence by Prisoners

Franz Xaver Ziereis was the commandant of the Mauthausen concentration camp from 1939 until 1945 brutal execution. Ziereis joined Germany's armed forces Reichswehr and joined the SS in 1936. Anschluss the annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany. Mauthausen-Gusen camp was built in Austria. Mauthausen-Gusen was the largest labour camp in Nazi Germany. Thousands of prisoners were died due to hard labor, starvation, mass execution and gas chamber. He was involved in execution of thousands of prisoners. He fled after the Mauthausen-Gusen camp was liberated by US Army. He was shot and seriously wounded whole trying to escape. He died of his injuries and his body was hung on the fence of the Mauthausen-Gusen camp.
