HP 5510 won't print black and colors - printhead removal and cleaning

This video lets you see the steps of solving the issue not being able to print black (& colors). It’s quite a common problem found on the HP Photosmart 5510 printer. To fix this we need to clean the print head, how this is done for the HP 5510 is shown in this repair video.

What you need cleaning your print head
- Warm water
- Paper towel
- T10 Torx screwdriver
- Isopropyl alcohol

Steps of cleaning:
- Clean the printhead by the printhead cleaning utility of the printer.
- Wet paper towel method with printhead installed.
- Remove the printhead to thoroughly clean the printhead.

Hard-reset procedure:
1. Press the Power button to turn on the product.
2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the power button to turn it on.

This method should also apply for the following printers:
- HP Photosmart 5510
- HP Photosmart 5515
- HP Photosmart 5520
- HP Photosmart 5524
