An extraordinary amount of time and effort goes into final papers in secondary and higher education, with typically little benefit to society as a whole. Dr. Caleb Lack shows how he stepped outside of his comfort zone with projects that challenged both him and his students. Stepping off the limb of prepackaged assignments was scary but worth it, as the online resources they created have been seen by over a million people worldwide.

Caleb Lack is a clinical psychologist and professor at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he specializes in scientific skepticism and critical thinking, OCD and related problems, and innovative teaching. He regularly presents at research and conducts training conferences both nationally and internationally. In addition, he is the author or editor of six books and over 40 peer reviewed journal articles or book chapters.
