POTA K-2829 Oregon Fort Stevens State Park | DID WE CHAT? (#50)
In this video I invite you to join me for a little Parks-On-The-Air fun at Oregon's LARGEST state park, Fort Stevens State Park on the Oregon Coast. #buddipole #hamradio
This park has tons of things to do nearby and you will be sure to bump into some amazing wildlife. Seen a shipwreck on the beach lately? The Peter Iredale wrecked on the reef in 1906 during a bad storm while attempting to make the mouth of the mighty Columbia River. Fort Stevens State Park is also near Fort Clatsop famous due to two explorers that help build it in 1805. No doubt you have heard of them, Merriweather Lewis and William Clark. #pota
