Typhoon Haishen approaching, S. Korea to be affected starting Sunday

북상 '하이선' 이동경로 일부 동쪽으로…남북 관통 큰 피해 우려

Just four days after Typhoon Maysak swept across the nation, Typhoon Haishen is rapidly gathering strength on its way to South Korea.
The 10th typhoon of the season is moving north from waters near Japan and is forecast to reach the west of Jeju Island during Sunday night.
The entire nation will be under the typhoon's influence by Monday.
As it will go straight through the center of the Korean Peninsula, Typhoon Haishen is expected to leave more damage than Typhoon Maysak did.
