During World War Two the Germans paid a lot of attention to RAF Portreath. There were various attempts to deflect the bombing away from the airfield. This video looks at the Decoy Site Q111A and visits the Control Bunker which still remains.

Can you add any detail to what is know about the decoy site? Did any of your relatives help build it or serve on it? Do you have any wartime photographs of the site or its personnel? If so please leave a comment.

The music featured is Bless Em All by Bertha Willmott recorded in 1940.

Thanks for looking. Please check out my other videos on World War Two sites in Cornwall. There is more on Portreath and on other decoy sites around Cornwall.
