Filipinka pravi pitu krompirušu | Making the Famous Balkan Potato Pie | Sobrang sarap patatas lang

This is one of the many pies that can be found here in Bosnia and Herzegovina or the Balkan Peninsula. But I think each country has it's own version. But this is what I learned from my mother in-law so that is why I called it a Bosnian potato pie. This pie is different since it is formed like a tiny log unlike the other pie that it is cooked in round baking pan.

Recipe:
For the dough:
450grms all purpose flour
1.5 tsp salt
3 tbsp regular oil
260ml lukewarm water
extra oil for brushing

Note: you need the cotton blanket to cover your table
Directions:
Mike the above ingredients in order. Knead for 8 minutes, cover it let it rest for 45 minutes.
Once it rested roll it into circle (follow the video) and brush oil all over it and let it rest for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes you can now start stretching it out. Start from the center of the dough. Just dig your arm into the middle to stretch the dough outward. Pull it out same as the video until it will cover the whole table.

For potato filling:
600 grams potato cut into tiny cubes
1 big onion cut into cubes
1tbsp salt
1.5tsp pepper
1 tsp vegeta or magic sarap
2 tbsp oil

Mix all the filling ingredients, if you want you can taste it for flavor. And put in into the dough.
