What Are The Roles Of A Good Mother? 3 Things Every Mom Of Boys Should Do | Coach Sean Smith

For a mom of boys, it is vitally important to know what the roles of a good mother are. In my opinion, there are three things that all good mothers must provide their boys so that they grow up to be happy, strong, and successful in life.

Here’s what I believe the three most important roles of a good mother are: providing unconditional feminine love, taking care of yourself, and celebrating the good in men.

To provide unconditional feminine love is another way of saying don’t withhold love from your boy. Boys need to experience true feminine energy. Don’t let him know that your love is conditional in any way. Stay with him through his journey without interfering in the natural process of development.

The second pillar of being a good mom of boys is taking care of oneself. This is so important in parenting because young boys focus intently on their mothers, trying to learn about values and boundaries. If you denigrate yourself and he sees it, he’s liable to develop the misguided view that women don’t expect to be valued.

The last pillar of being a good mom of boys is celebrating the good in men. Boys need an example. Don’t trash your boy’s father. Instead, focus specifically on the bad behavior while praising the good. Identities matter. If you label the father as “bad,” your boy will still probably want to be like him and may associate the father’s badness with himself.

There are no hard and fast rules to raising boys. The roles of a good mother are numerous. However, regardless of whether or not a father is present in your boy’s life, these three pillars of parenting will help him grow into a true man.
