This is music from an improvisation called Ethereal Song of the Bells. This music comes from an 8-minute improvisation that I recorded without any preparation. The opening creates a hypnotic ostinato and pedal point that is revisited throughout the improv. This music was later transcribed and I took significant parts of the music and made it into a finished composition, one of my 24 preludes. As with all of my improvisations, I don't have any chords or sections planned out in advance of the improvisation. I do freestyle improvisations where I improvise over a short musical fragment. This improvisation was recorded on February 22, 2018, on a Samick Grand Piano. Like and subscribe for more content.
