Magnesium Rich Foods Lead To Fewer Kidney Stones?!
Thank you @plantpoweredkidneys for this great post about magnesium! It caused a LOT of confusion (and great conversation) on my page!
We know that eating diets rich in magnesium rich foods like green leafy veggies, nuts, seeds, beans and whole grains IS associated with fewer kidney stones.
There is NO such data in existence for a low oxalate diet.
This is why I prioritize helping people eat enough of the things that REALLY matter to prevent stones- and just being sure to get in enough calcium to help on the oxalate front (if you even have high urine oxalate in the first place).
