Most car batteries begin to discharge when temperatures are below -25 degrees Celsius, a car at these temperatures needs at least 15 minutes to warm up enough to drive.
However, the car is still frozen in other parts, for example the handbrake is still hard, and the car needs more revolutions per minute to accelerate in the first minutes of driving.
Also the fuel consumption increases aswell.
