Zitilites - The Getaway

This is my first pure synthwave track, and as such, I felt I had to take a proper synthwavy artist name. It was hard to come up with the perfect one, but in the end I landed on 'Zitilites'. It is the title of one of my absolute favorite albums, and I thought it fit rather well :-)

I began creating this track with nothing particular in mind, but the drving bassline and uptempo style soon made me think of bank robbers speeding away after a heist. It took me a long time to think of just the right title to convey this feeling, and then the simplicity of just calling it 'The Getaway' hit me.

When it came to do the video, I was very inspired by videos made for other synthwave tracks, which often use clips from old movies. And you probably won't believe this, but although I had never seen or even heard of it, the absolute perfect movie was the very first one I came across...
