My name's Allen Hart and in today's video I'm going to show you how to connect your Salus SW600 SmartDart and Windows Sensor to your Smart Home Network. This is part of the Salus Smart Home Range. The SW600 is a smart door and window sensor. It's used to detect opening and closing of doors and windows and control multiple devices in your Smart Home Network via the Salus Smart Home app. To start with we'll remove the front cover by pulling the top flap and lifting off.
You will see the battery and a small plastic tab. Remove the tab to activate the battery.
You will now need to mount the SW600 to whichever door or window you require it for. The button on the back here will be pressed in. When it's mounted put the device into pairing mode. Go onto the Salus Smart Home app on your phone or your PC. Click on the three lines.
Click on settings.
Click on setup equipment.
Then scan for equipment. This may take a few minutes.
We can now see the window sensor is there. So now connect equipment.
Then we can name what we want to call that. So we will put that as SW600 next. Then we will click on finish.
That's the window sensor connected to the Smart Home Network. To test it we will go back into the app. We will scroll up. We can see there we have the window sensor and that is closed at the moment. So if we just open the window and then we can see it has gone orange and that shows that the window is now open. So now we know that the sensor is working. The SW600 can now be linked to the thermostat to put it into either standby mode when the window is open or back to the schedule when the window is closed. You can now also use the Salus One Touch Rules to create many other commands. One Touch Rules are a great way to take advantage of this product as part of the Salus Smart Home Network. We will cover the One Touch Rules in more details in a future video.
That wraps up today's video. I hope you found it useful. If you have any questions on the Salus SW600 or any of the Salus Smart Home products please leave a comment below. As always like, comment, subscribe, all that good stuff and I will see you in the next video.
