First pick the column in your table that you want to group, then pick the values that you want to perform a function on (such as SUM or AVERAGE or MIN or MAX) and Excel will automatically make a new table showing you just that! Then if you want to sort it at 3 commas' e.g. ,,, and then for largest to smallest put in -2 and for smallest to largest add 2 and excel will do just that for you!
