Mob and XP Grinder/Farm - Minecraft 1.18+ Tutorial (Java Edition)

In this video I'll show you how to build a useful Overworld Mob and XP Grinder/Farm! With this design you will get loads of xp without the need of finding a spawner dungeon. This farm is a follow up to my old and ancient XP Grinder from 2019 (link below) in this newer version I used the spawning platforms from gnembons hostile mob farm (link also below)

If built at Y/40-60 with all of the surrounding caves/areas lit up you can expect 30 levels/5min
If built 128 blocks above the ground surface you can expect 18-20 levels/5min (no cave lighting required)

Works in Minecraft 1.16, 1.17 and 1.18.
In the new 1.18 update mobs can only spawn if the light level is 0.
The fix: Make the roof of the farm (11:50) 6 blocks wider each side! That way all of the spawning platforms will have a light level 0 and mobs can spawn again!
