This session will provide insight into and an overview of virtual reality applications in healthcare and provide a deeper understanding of its uses for neurological rehabilitation in cognitive and physical therapy. It will discuss how Neuro Rehab VR is leveraging neuroplasticity of the brain by using immersive 3D environments with precise control over the stimulus and the cognitive load that the user experiences, and how programming functional goals into therapy increase patient engagement, progress, and outcomes.
