How I gained 20 lbs. of muscles with calisthenics in just a year (all natural)
Here is my calisthenics journey and how I gained 10 kg of muscles in just a year, all-natural, without taking protein or creatine powders or being on any gear whatsoever.
It was a tough journey even if I am somewhat genetically gifted. Trust me that I struggled a lot and started my calisthenics journey as a beginner, just as everybody else. I had to work my way up through consistent training.
Before starting bodyweight resistance training, I was skinny at 72 kilograms and 184 cm, physically weak, had great stamina. So I approached my calisthenics training like classic bodybuilders do because I wanted to build muscles and strength.
So, that’s why I focused on simplistic training methods using only basic exercises like pull-ups, dips, pushups, plyometric exercises, leg lifts, running drills and routines, rope jumping, burpees, sprints, and various squats.
I hope that my body transformation inspires you. Through this fitness motivational video of mine, I think I proved that foundational calisthenics training is very effective in getting lean and massive too.
I said that I struggled a lot. Well, I trained 5-7 times a week during my first year of calisthenics training, which was quite a lot and painful at the same time. I also had to eat very sustainably, providing sufficient calories. Don’t get me wrong, but you can never grow muscles and strength without eating a lot of calories, regardless of how much you train or you lift. All bodybuilders or fitness enthusiasts will agree.
