A big thank you to the Arbor Vitae Fire Department for allowing me to watch their Controlled burn & for the many great conversations. Prior to burning the house down the department had preformed multiple training evolutions inside the structure. The Arbor Vitae Fire department Consists of 40 Volunteers and is Located in Northern Wisconsin. Their department is very different from the FDNY which has over 11,000 members. Their method of firefighting is a whole different animal and it was very interesting to learn about their strategies for fighting fires in -52 degrees in the middle of the woods. Thanks again for letting me observe your training.
