Wired To Explore Road Trip: S5E8: Teapot Dome in Mountain Home Idaho Hike
Tea Pon Dome is located just outside of Mountain Home Idaho. By ascending to the top of Tea Pot Dome you get a 360 degree view of the valley and distant Bennett Mountain range.
The trail is not really marked but there are many routes to make it to the top. If you had a 4x4 you could drive right up to the base of Tea Pot Dome and just hike to the top.
I wanted a decent evening hike so I stopped at the beginning of the rutted dirt road leading up to the trail head and started my hike from there.
