Open your Figma file and select the Pen Tool by clicking the pen icon in the top toolbar or pressing P on your keyboard.
Click on the canvas to create anchor points and straight lines. For curved lines, click and drag to adjust the curve handles.
To close a path and make a shape, click back on your starting point. A small circle will appear to indicate you’re closing the path.
After drawing, press Enter to enter vector edit mode. Here, you can move anchor points, adjust curves, and fine-tune your shape.
Use the bend tool or adjust Bezier handles for more complex curves. Hold Alt or Option while dragging handles for independent control.
To fill your shape, use the Paint Bucket tool or add a fill from the right panel.
Press Esc or switch tools to finish drawing with the Pen Tool.

The Pen Tool is perfect for icons, illustrations, custom graphics, and advanced UI elements in Figma.
