Why SvelteKit uses Vite instead of Snowpack

In this video I explain what we know about why the SvelteKit team has chosen to use Vite as the default build tools to be used in SvelteKit. Previously Snowpack was used for SvelteKit but recently the dependencies in the project has changed and removed Snowpack in favour of Vite. Why was this change made? What does this mean for SvelteKit? We talk about it all in this video.
