69 & ლიკა ჩაჩხიანი - ტრიუმფალური სვლა მზისკენ (2001)
69 & Lika Chachkhiani - The Triumphant Walk To The Sun.
69 was a Georgian rock band founded in 1989 by Ucha Chachkhiani, just before the demise of Soviet Union. Functioning in hyperturbulent times, the group had to disband several times, but came back again in 1996 to release two albums full of great melodic rock, with influences ranging from The Beatles-inspired psychedelic rock to alternative rock influences that permeated Georgian scene at the time.
On the second album "Chveni Tsa" (Georgian for "Our Sky"), the band's line up was reduced to three members: Ucha Chachkhiani (vocals, keyboards, guitars), Zaza Sakhamberidze (ex-Retsepti, ex-Gremi - guitar, vocals) and Lika Chachkhiani (vocals). Consequently much of the material was arranged in studio, helped out by Nukri Abashidze (who had been a member of 75 in their most successful period), and album sounds more digital than the band's debut one.
Unfortunately, this was the last full-length recording made by Ucha Chachkhiani before his untimely death in 2006.
This is the most popular song by 69, featured heavily on the airplay in early 2000s.
