British brands which are enjoying global success - and they've all got an important link to the south. This week David Allard is exploring the stories behind the brands - starting with the fashion chain Burberry. In recent years it's shaken off its chav tag to become one of Britain's biggest exports, currently valued at £7 billion. But it all started when a young man opened a shop in Basingstoke in 1856.
