Arthur Tracy - Marta (Rambling Rose of the Wildwood)
This is a re-recording of a song which originally charted for Tracy at #19 in 1932. It became his signature song, and he was the first artist to have a hit with it. I do not know when this particular version was recorded, but it has the sound quality of the 1930's or early 1940's. Also #15 for Tony Martin in December 1949, and #20 for the Bachelors in July 1967 (in the UK). Also recorded by David Whitfield.
Written by L. Wolfe Gilbert and Moises Simons.
