Draymond Green Speaks on Racist Double Standard NBA Players Receive

Draymond Green speaks on the double standard on people's reaction when a player wants to get traded vs a team trading a player. This was in response to Cleveland Cavs asking big man Andre Drummond to "no longer play, but sit on the sidelines" while the team looks to trade him.

Draymond compares the situation to when James Harden wanted to leave Houston, and a few others. Interview was done post-game on Feb 15, 2021.

OUR TAKE: If you ask why this is "racist": In a nutshell, players who ask for their own destiny gets criticized, but when team determine a player's destiny barely any criticism happens.

That's rooted in resentment people have for Black players taking control of their situation. That resentment grows when the player gets paid more than most will ever make in their lifetime.
