Ring of Kerry mit Torc Waterfall, Cliffs of Kerry, Stränden am Atlantik, Staigue Fort, Skellig Ring, Wild Atlantic Way, tolle Aussichten und viel, sehr viel Regen war angesagt auf unserer heutigen Etappe unserer Irland Rundreise an Tag 4.
Es war heute wirklich richtig schlechtes Wetter. Bis zu 40 Liter Regen sollten heute fallen und sie sind auch auf uns heruntergeprasselt. Das hielt uns aber nicht davon ab den Ring of Kerry zu fahren - und wir haben es nicht bereut.
Atemberaubende Natur mit fantastischen Aussichtspunkten, die Naturgewalt des Wassers an den Klippen - es war einfach magisch.
Gestartet sind wir in Muckross und unser erstes Ziel war der Torc Waterfall. Weiter ging es zum Staigue Fort und zum kleinen Örtchen Waterville. Dort bogen wir dann auf den Wild Atlantic Way und folgten dem Skellig Ring bis zu den Klippen von Kerry. Das war bisher mein persönliches Highlight unserer Irland Rundfahrt. Von dort ging es dann wieder Richtung Muckross zurück in unser B&B.
Es war wirklich eine traumhafte Tour und diesen Ring of Kerry können wir nur jedem Irland Reisenden empfehlen - den muss man gefahren sein!

Ring of Kerry with Torc Waterfall, Cliffs of Kerry, beaches on the Atlantic, Staigue Fort, Skellig Ring, Wild Atlantic Way, great views and lots and lots of rain was announced on today's stage of our Ireland round trip on day 4.
It was really bad weather today. Up to 40 liters of rain were supposed to fall today and they also rained down on us. But that didn't stop us from driving the Ring of Kerry - and we didn't regret it.
Breathtaking nature with fantastic viewpoints, the natural force of the water on the cliffs - it was just magical.
We started in Muckross and our first destination was the Torc Waterfall. We continued to the Staigue Fort and the small village of Waterville. There we turned onto the Wild Atlantic Way and followed the Skellig Ring to the cliffs of Kerry. This has been my personal highlight of our Tour of Ireland so far. From there we went back to our B&B in the direction of Muckross.
It was really a fantastic tour and we can only recommend this Ring of Kerry to every Ireland traveler - you have to drive it! Have fun with the video now. Best regards Jens
