Showing the discount code inside the sign-up form can increase conversions by 30-40%. Here is why most brands are not doing this.
When someone fills in a sign-up form offering 10% off, the default behaviour is: send the discount code in the welcome email. The subscriber has to open the email, find the code, and return to the store.
Every additional step is friction. Friction reduces conversion.
The better approach: show the discount code on the success page of the sign-up form itself. The subscriber sees it immediately. The barrier between "I subscribed" and "I bought" collapses.
We make this change on every brand we onboard. It consistently moves first purchase rate.
