Climbing Hunting Island Lighthouse in South Carolina

Jeff always enjoyed the opportunity to climb a lighthouse if it was open to do so when we visited at the time. This is video he shot while climbing the Hunting Island Lighthouse in Hunting Island State Park. I believe this was taken in 2017. Info from South Carolina Parks website. At the present time the lighthouse is closed because it is needing to undergo repairs. This is the 2nd light at this location. The first lighthouse here was built in 1859 and it was rebuilt in 1875 after being destroyed during the Civil War and was moved roughly a mile inland in 1889. #foggypointlight #huntingisland
