How Our Tank Works

This is a brief description of the drive train and some other mechanical features of our homemade tank.
For those of you wondering what parts we bought for this project, I am going to list all the major ones below.

I used a 22 tooth sprocket on the main axles, but they aren't carrying it right now, but a 24 would also work, the tank would be slightly slower, but with more torque when reversing.

These drive sprockets, we took the bearing out and used it elsewhere in the transmission; https://www.princessauto.com/en/12-teeth-3-4-in-bore-80-chain-idler-sprocket/product/PA0008069981
And we cut 1 ft pieces of 1 1/4 by 3/16 flat bar that we bought at a local steel shop and welded to the #80 chain.

For the armour we used 16 ga hot rolled steel sheet, and painted it with a primer and coloured with tremclad. we didn't show it, but we used cardboard stencils to help paint it later.

Other than that we bought some small things, "such as hinges, rivets, bolts," but they aren't necessary to list.
