Why do you believe what you believe?

The Asch experiments tested how social pressure influences individual judgement.

The experiments showed that about 75% of people conformed at least once with the wrong answer to fit in with what the other people in the group were saying, despite the correct answer being obvious. This demonstrated that people conform to fit in, even against clear evidence.
