I don't know about you, but I use an impact driver when ever possible. So bits are important when it comes to transferring that power into the fastener.
In this video we are testing some of the most used/sold/popular impact driver bits in my area.
Dewalt MaxFit bits
Makita Gold impact bits
Milwaukee Shockwave impact bits (2nd gen)

For the test we drove 100 griprite 3 inch PH2 exterior screws into 2x4 and landscape lumber.
For the test we used the Dewalt DCF887 and Milwaukee Fuel 2853 impact drivers.
Each impact driver bit drove 100 screws back to back (no rest in between), alternating impact drivers at 25 screws at a time.

After the test the Dewalt MaxFit and Makita Impact Gold bits had little wear with minimal paint/coating chipping, and looked as if they could keep going for another day. I did have a small problem with the makita, where several times the 1" bit came off the bit holder and was stuck on the screw, where I had to remove the bit and put it back in the bit holder, other than that they Makita and DeWalt bits performed very well, and still had a great fit on the screws after 100 screws. The Milwaukee shockwave bit failed after ~89 screws and could go no longer; failing to complete the challenge. The bit had rounded/broke off and could no longer fit the PH2 screw.

Considering the impact drivers bits are generally about the same price for sets at the hardware store we are not reviewing cost per bit/fastener.
