Navadurga Shlokas || Day 4 || Kushmanda

The Navaratra utsava or Dusshera signifies the conquest of good over evil. This being done by Prakriti or Mother Goddess, validates our reverence towards nature and women. The nine nights and 10 days in which Shakthi reveals herself are given nine names as-shailaputhree, bramhacharini, chandraghanta , kushmandaa ,skandamatha, kaathyayini, kalaratri, maha gouri and siddhidatri.

The fourth day, the devi is worshipped as a manifestation of Kushmanda. She is considered as the creator of the universe. She is represented by the colour Blue and raga Suranandini.
