An Introduction to Traffic Filtering in CloudConnexa

CloudConnexa Shield offers a built-in Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) for your Wide Area Private Cloud (WPC). When traffic filtering is enabled, Shield monitors the traffic flowing through your WPC, providing detailed statistics on any traffic identified as malware, intrusion attempts, denial-of-service attacks, and other threats. To proactively mitigate risks, you can configure Shield to block specific traffic categories. By setting certain traffic types or priority levels to be blocked, Shield will drop matching packets and record these events. It's recommended to block at least Priority Level Critical traffic, as it includes threats like malware, trojans, worms, and various intrusion activities.
