Building a House: Construction Steps – Forming & Pouring Concrete Foundation Walls and Waterproofing

We are building a house, and in this video we are continuing the on-site construction process with forming the concrete walls, pouring the concrete foundation walls, and waterproofing our basement! These are the early steps of construction for our custom home and it’s so exciting to see how the foundation walls are built and protected for the Dream Home we designed!

Previously we started the construction process with demolition, excavation and pouring the footings for our new home build. In this video we show you how the wooden forms are built and setup, the steel rebar is built inside to support the concrete, how the concrete is poured to form our foundation walls, and how we waterproof our basement using tar and a membrane wall. Plus, we have an unexpected visitor on site that threatens to halt our concrete pour!
