Did Aamir Khan plagiarise a movie? The trailer for Sitaare Zameen Par-sequel to 2007's Taare Zameen Par-looks great, but it also looks familiar. Eagle-eyed netizens thought it looked similar to the 2023 Hollywood movie Champions (itself a remake of a 2018 movie from Spain). In fact, they look identical. A look at the synopses of each movies suggests that they will have the exact same plot, but the actual trailer looks like a shot-for-shot remake.

Now, the upside for Khan is that no one has actually heard of that movie. It was a box office bomb in the US, performed even worse everywhere else, and they didn't even bother to release it in India. The downside for Khan is that his big comeback is now mercilessly trolled online, and it reminded everyone of just how bad a failure his last film remake was. Is it just doomed to fail?
