Color is everywhere and the colors we choose for our design play a massive role in how it's perceived. In this video, we're taking a deep dive into the study of color theory. We'll learn why color is so important to understand, the science of color, how it's modeled in the physical and digital world, how to choose colors effectively, and build great color palettes.

In our color science segment, we'll learn how the eye perceives color using over 6-million cones in our retina. Then we'll learn about color mixing, how light and medium affects the color combinations we see.

In our color models segment, I'll show you the most common color models professionals use online and offline. We'll cover their use-cases, how their created, and some limitations as well.

After that I'll show you some guiding principles on how to choose colors effectively for any project. This is not pop psychology, but rather general frameworks for thinking about color in a deeper way.

Finally, we'll study common color palettes, when to use them, and some resources I use for building them online.
