How to Make a Center-Pull Bow Tie Bobbin

Learn how to make a yarn bobbin with a center-pull tail to keep long lengths of yarn nice and tidy. Any time I make something that is going to be seamed, I leave an extra long tail at the beginning cast on (knitting) or foundation chain (crochet) to use for the seaming to reduce the number of ends I have to weave in and the overall bulk. This easy technique is great for preventing those tails from tangling, and it's the perfect way to keep lots of bobbins neat while doing colorwork like intarsia knitting. Since these bobbins are center-pull, you can still keep them nicely bound when you want to extend the length!
