Exclusive Interview: Marianne Farley, Director of Marguerite

In the Oscar nominated Marguerite, an ageing woman and her nurse develop a friendship that inspires her to unearth unacknowledged longing and thus help her make peace with her past.

We nabbed an exclusive chat with its director Marianne Farley, who talks about the film's representation of LGBTQ, and which fellow Oscar nominee she most wants to work with.

Marguerite shares a long forgotten love story and stars Béatrice Picard (Les Jeunes Loups), alongside Sandrine Bisson (1991). This wonderful film has won over twenty prestigious film awards, including Audience Award for Best Short Film at Perlen Film Festival, Audience Award for Best Short Film at Proud Film Festival, the Jury Award for Best Short Film at TWIST: Seattle Queer Film Festival and Honorable mention of the Jury Award for Best Short at OUTshine Film Festival. Marguerite has been nominated for a 2019 Academy Award.
