ORIGINAL INFO: Let’s put a frown on that face!

RUMINATIONS: My unique providence strikes again, this time releasing the rerun of an issue of All-Star Batman and Robin right when we have a movie come out that borrows heavily from a Frank Miller work. It was around this time that I came to my revelation that Frank Miller really, REALLY wants to have sex with a building and I think it explains a lot about his prose if you keep that in mind any time he spends pages and pages about anthropomorphizing a city as a woman. Some of that is neo-noir bullcrap, but other times it just seems like Frank is speaking through his own characters. I’ll let the rest speak for itself.

I got a bit of flack at the time for not liking Brian Azzarello's "Joker." Simply put, I didn't think it was very interesting. The Joker is an interesting badguy for a number of reasons, even if he is overexposed - his demented sense of humor, his intricate plans that are sometimes just for goofy reasons while others much more violent and psychotic... and Azzarello's interpretation is him just as someone no different than an ornery mafia boss.
