Fender Richie Sambora Replica Build

Built a couple of these Sambora Replica’s during lockdown. Here is a breakdown of the parts:
1. Cheap Paulownia Strat Body (needed a bunch of work on the belly cut and forearm cut to match a real Strat. The cost of the body was like $35. The wood is very soft but very resonant.

2. The neck was purchased from Aliexpress for about $45. It needed a bunch of fretwork so buyer beware.

3. The headstock decal was from Voodoo decals. I used Mohawk Nitrocellulose Lacquer over the decal.

4. The paint is Is a custom match vintage white with Mohawk Nitrocellulose Gloss Clear.

5. Electronics- Mojo tone Vintage Taper 250k pots with a treble bleed cap. Fender 5 way switch. The fender push push button is a coil split for the Bridge. Single Coil Pickups are Friedman Classic Singles. The bridge is a Dimarzio Paf 36 Anniversary.

6. The tremolo and locking nut are German made Original Floyd Rose.

7. Tuners are Fender.

8. The Floyd Rose tool holder is from ProRockGear.

9. Strap Locks are Schaller.

10. The pickguard is by musiclily. Purchases on eBay for like $12.

Serial was my birthday. So is doesn’t lineup with any serial combination from fender. Also have many marking through that would make it obvious it is not an original. Most fender collectors would know it was a replica without these markings.

My total investment is around $800. Most of that was spent on the electronics and the Floyd Rose. I actually built two of them for a friend and myself. Both came out extremely well.
