A Vision of the Village: The Making of the Double Ditch Cyclorama

Doug Wurtz, President of North Dakota Archaeological Association presents a glimpse into the origins of the Double Ditch cyclorama at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum.

Learn about the in-depth research behind creating our realistic representation of a 16th century Mandan village north of Bismarck. Our 50-foot cyclorama was painted on site in 2014 by nationally renowned artist Rob Evans.
